Liberal Arts
The Liberal Arts building first opened in January 1964 on the former site of Skidmore Field and contained the largest number of classrooms on campus at the time. The university has renovated the building four times over the last twenty-five years, including its most recent "green" renovations, reducing water usage within the building by thirty percent.
Various academic units have occupied Liberal Arts throughout the years, including Political Science, Philosophy, Modern Languages, Police Science (Criminal Justice), and Army ROTC.
As of 2015, the Liberal Arts building houses part of the College of Arts and Letters (CAL), including the History and English departments. CAL also utilizes Liberal Arts for its International Film Series.
