Information Technology Services
Northern Arizona University first provided computer help via its Academic Computer Services located within the South Campus Administration building. By 1977, seventeen staff members served all campus. With expanded enrollment, the University changed the name to Information Technology Services (ITS) and constructed the ITS annex in 1986, expanding it in 1989 and again in 1996. Over that time, ITS staff has grown more than ten times to its current number of 170. As of 2016, the ITS department provides software and hardware training for faculty and students and maintains NAU websites and servers. Additionally, the ITS Solution Center handles more than 36,000 computer and technological issues on campus for both students and faculty.
