Gateway Student Success Center

Northern Arizona University constructed South Dining Hall #2 in 1967. Since then, the building has had many names, including South Dining, University Avenue Dining, University Dining, and University Commons. It remained a dining hall until 2002, when the University began renovations totaling $2.3 million. Completed in 2003, the Gateway Student Success Center provides academic advising to freshmen. The current Gateway provides academic and professional services to students to improve enrollment and retention rates as well as career planning. Gateway used to have a combination snack shop and late-night retail food venue before The Wedge opened in summer 2013.
