Ernest Calderón Learning Community
Northern Arizona University (NAU) opened Aspen Crossing Residence Hall in the fall of 2008. The University renamed the building Ernest Calderón Learning Community in May 2014. Ernest Calderón, an NAU alumnus, was President Emeritus of the Arizona Board of Regents.
Ernest Calderón Learning Community is a dorm designed for academically focused students. Residents must maintain a 3.0 GPA and comply with a 24-hour quiet policy. The dorm offers several study spaces, kitchens, two classrooms, a game room, a fitness room, and a lounge.
The nearby Central Quad is an inviting area for students to gather from nearby Allen Hall and Wilson Hall. Events taking place in the quad include the celebration of Earth Day, the Welcome Back BBQ, and the Gabapalooza.
