Bookstore
When Arizona State College at Flagstaff became Northern Arizona University (NAU), it opened its first campus bookstore in 1967. Prior to this, students purchased books in various locations over the years including Old Main, Campbell Hall, Gammage, and the Student Union.
Designed in the International style, the NAU Bookstore had a post office alongside the sales floor on the first landing and a basement linen closet. To accommodate growth, the university renovated the bookstore in 1990 and again in 1996, replacing the linen closet with a new post office and expanding the bookstore itself, adding offices and an Apple Computer Store.
The NAU Bookstore serves as a central campus location for books, university-branded clothing, and other university memorabilia.
