The Suites

American Campus Communities (ACC) opened The Suites in the fall of 2012. Northern Arizona University leased land for forty years to ACC to build more campus housing as enrollment reached 18,000 and officials expected even more growth. The company built both The Suites and Hilltop Townhomes. This type of public/private partnership is expanding nationwide and ACC is the largest owner, developer, and manager of high-quality student housing in the U.S. with 162 units and almost 100,000 beds.

ACC provides a different environment than NAU resident halls. Students can choose a one or two bedroom floor plan. The Suites offer amenities including a gym, iPad bar, game and theatre room, and tanning beds. A Starbucks and the Campus Shop are located directly below The Suites.
