Flagstaff Urban Trails
In March 1988, the Flagstaff Urban Trails Committee presented a plan to create a multi-use trail system throughout the city. Since then, the Flagstaff Urban Trails System (FUTS) has grown from 3.2 miles to over 50 miles of trails. The FUTS allows walkers, runners and non-motorized vehicles to travel throughout the city in a network of scenic gravel, dirt, or paved pathways.
The NAU Trail is maintained by Northern Arizona University. It runs from Dupont Street at the north of campus south to McConnell Drive, and intersects with the Sinclair Wash Trail. Users can access the entire system from this path. Detailed descriptions and maps of the FUTS are available from the Flagstaff Visitor Center.
