Babbitt Administration Building

Northern Arizona University dedicated the $1.58 million Executive Center in 1975 and construction concluded in March 1977. It has housed upper administration as well as the university architect, the alumni office and the public information office. Today's offices include the president, provost, Enrollment Management, executive vice president and vice presidents for Administration and Finance, Enrollment Management, and University Advancement as well as the University Legal Counsel and University Marketing and Public Affairs. The woodland area to the east was known as Entwood Park and the nearby hill used by students for sledding.

In 1988, NAU renamed the building the John G. Babbitt Administrative Center to honor Babbitt, chair of the Babbitt Brothers Trading Company, Flagstaff City Councilman, and president of the Arizona State Senate.
