Hilltop Townhomes
In 2008, Northern Arizona University accepted a bid from American Campus Communities (ACC) to construct student housing. ACC completed Hilltop Townhomes in 2013 for $68 million. NAU is leasing the land to ACC for forty years, with optional ten- year extensions, and in return ACC manages the property. The townhomes are two stories tall with four fully furnished bedrooms and three bathrooms in each unit. Hilltop Townhomes has amenities including a fitness room, game room, parking garage, a tanning bed, and study rooms.
NAU previously had a Ropes Course at this location, built by money collected by numerous non-campus groups. It was completed in June 1993 and renovated in 1997. Currently, NAU's outdoor high-ropes Challenge Course is located on E. Pine Knoll Drive near the South Recreational Field.
