Bennett was an extremely organized and savvy business person. In 1990 Bennett bought a portion of the condemned Babbitt Building in downtown Flagstaff. Bennett renovated the space herself and rented studio spaces to friends and fellow photographers for a very reasonable price. Community was extremely important to Bennett and through her generosity ensured that others had a chance at success.
