South Village Apartments

Northern Arizona University (NAU) opened the South Family Apartments in 1971 as part of the South Academic Center. NAU moved married students here who had previously lived in Roseberry Hall to provide more housing for the growing number of single students.

The renamed South Village Apartments have evolved into a blended community of international and upper-division students, as well as families with or without children. The property has thirteen buildings with 152 units. Each contains two bedrooms and is partially furnished. Amenities on the property include laundry rooms, playgrounds, barbeque areas with picnic tables, and a community center. The complex has its own development association and block watch program. The apartments are the southernmost buildings on campus, 1.5 miles from the northern edge on Dupont Avenue.
