The Inn at NAU

In 1960, President J. Lawrence and Lucy Walkup moved from the Clark Homes in town to the new President's House on campus. When the Walkups moved to University Heights in 1975, the President's House became the Hospitality House and served various university functions, including operating as the faculty club. The university added a nineteen-room wing to the building in 1988 and subsequently renamed it the "Inn at NAU," which served as a campus restaurant and hotel for visitors until 2008. The restaurant had a small bar, full kitchen, and conference room. Students of the Hughes School of Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) aided professional staff, gaining firsthand experience in the hospitality business. NAU modified the structure to include HRM offices, classrooms, and laboratory space.
