SCHOOL OF HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
One of seven free-standing schools of hotel and restaurant management in the country, the facility was officially opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 10, 1989. The facility is designed to serve as a "living laboratory" for a cutting-edge program with an international emphasis. Industry contribution in the form of funding and equipment helped defray the cost of the structure. The kitchen, lounges, conference room, and the furnishings, interior design, and hardware and software for the front desk at the Inn at NAU (itself a teaching facility and laboratory) are corporate donations. In addition, the Research Resource Center at the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management provides faculty and students with research facilities and resource materials.
