FRONSKE HEALTH CENTER

The 26-bed "University Health Center" was built in 1968. On March 29, 1979 President Walkup renamed the student health center in honor of Dr. Martin G. Fronske, a long-time Flagstaff and university physician. First serving NAU during the flu epidemic of 1918, Fronske worked as chief university physician until 1962 and as team doctor until 1970.
