BURY HALL 1908

Designed by Lester Byron in the Western Colonial architectural style and constructed in 1908 of Moenkopi sandstone, NAU's second-oldest residence hall is named in honor of Frances Bury, assistant to President Almon Nicholas Taylor and one of the first two teachers at Northern Arizona Normal School. Upon completion, Bury Hall provided thirty sleeping rooms, eight bathrooms, a parlor with leather-upholstered couches and chairs, and a laundry in the basement. Today, Bury Hall serves as a men's residence hall.
