According to the 1995 edition of the Northern Arizona University Fact Book
and the 1995-97 undergaduate catalog, NAU's Cline Library houses more than 529,000
books in addition to 389,699 government documents, 34,097 maps, 336,000 microfiche,
25,000 microfilm reels, 15,000 sound recording, 5,500 videos, films, and other
non-print media (audio recording, slides, and video disks), and 137,433 volumes
of bound periodicals. Cline Library is also a depository for selected U.S. government
and State of Arizona publications and subscribes to approximately 6,000 current
periodicals including seventy-two local, national, and foreign newspapers.
