INTRODUCTION
Titles and their meanings are as follows:
Master - young boy
Miss - young girl or unmarried woman
Mr. (Mister) - adult man, title is assumed on all untitled names
Mrs. (Mistress) - adult married woman
Ms. (Ms.) - adult woman of unknown status
Dr. (Doctor), Prof. (Professor), Rev. (Reverend), and
military titles are used but do not always indicate profession.
Profession is indicated beside the name if known.
Whenever possible a distinguishing word or words is placed beside
the name. This may indicate the person's home or occupation. A few
abbreviations are used.
A&P - Atlantic & Pacific Railroad
AT&SF - Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad
Az. - Arizona
AzMB - Arizona Mineral Belt Railroad
N.M. - New Mexico
P&AC - Prescott and Arizona Central Railroad
Citations are the same for the subject and the name index. A
citation is composed of the DATE, PAGE, and COLUMN where the article
is located.

The following abbreviations have been used for the months:

If an article is a legal notice it is indicated by "leg. annc." A
personal announcement is indicated by "annc."
