The Cline Library offers structured, for-credit internships for graduate and undergraduate students pursuing studies in the information sciences, including:

  • Cline Library Special Collections and Archives welcomes applications from undergraduate and graduate students for semester-long, for credit, internship opportunities. Special Collections and Archives provides for credit internships for students interested in gaining valuable experience with archives, manuscripts, visual materials, oral histories, digitization, instruction, or outreach.

  • The Elizabeth M. and P.T. Reilly internship, a paid summer internship with an archival focus, is offered annually to a qualified graduate or senior undergraduate student interested in a career in information management.
  • The Dorothy T. and James J. Hanks Endowments "Cline Library Hanks Scholars" program provides NAU students with the opportunity to engage in repeat photography projects with a faculty mentor. The paid internship may be for credit or no-credit. Photographs taken as part of the internship will become part of the collections at Cline Library’s Special Collections and Archives department.
