What is ALADN?
Academic Library Advancement and Development Network
Founded in 1995, ALADN members are academic library fund raising professionals, librarians, associate university librarians, and deans who practice in North America. We form professional and personal relationships and are active on our listserv as we work to raise money from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Attendees from academic libraries across the United States and Canada gather annually to share innovations, best practices, and organizational successes related to all areas of fundraising, including communication and marketing strategies. The 2011 ALADN Annual Conference will be held in Flagstaff, Arizona and hosted by Northern Arizona University, May 16 - 19, 2011. You can visit our conference website at: http://library.nau.edu/aladn2011.
Why support ALADN?
Your company has products and services that academic libraries and institutions of higher education want to use and want to buy. When you educate ALADN members about how you serve libraries and universities, you give them the product knowledge they need to sell donors on supporting the library, and possibly persuading those donors to provide the funding to purchase your products and services. Access to university librarians or deans who are the final decision makers is easy at ALADN. Decision makers with whom your sales force might never gain an appointment are available for conversations at ALADN, all without the myriad distractions of larger conferences.
How can I support ALADN?
Sponsorships are available at these levels:
$15,000 Welcome Dinner and Reception. The largest attendance is at this dinner, usually 150+; dinner is preceded by a social hour and concludes with entertainment typically related to the part of the continent where the conference is held. Your company name receives very prominent placement on the conference website, the conference program, conference signage, and all communication related to the conference. You are welcome to attend and further engage conference attendees.
$3,500 Deans Only Dinner. Approximately one third of conference attendees are Deans and University Librarians. Typically the host institutions will arrange for a group of Deans and University Librarians to go to dinner together. This unique opportunity would allow the sponsoring vendor to have an evening with the Deans to connect on a more individual level. Your company name receives placement on the conference website, the conference program, conference signage, and all communication related to the conference.
$5,000 Opening Reception Sponsor. The evening before the full conference begins, attendees gather to network; participate in a mentor program; and set plans for the evening. Your company name receives placement on the conference website, the conference program, conference signage, and all communication related to the conference.
$1,500 Sponsor a Keynote Speaker. Help the conference program planners secure an expert in the field of fundraising to share their insights and successes. Your company name receives placement on the conference website, the conference program, signage, and all communications related to the conference.
Other Opportunities to Market. As part of the conference we provide attendees with small items that connect with the theme of the conference. We are delighted to work with you on customizing those items to include your company's logo at a variety of donation levels, include product information in our attendee conference packets, etc.
If you are looking for different ways or different levels to sponsor activities at the 2011 ALADN conference, we would be happy to discuss ideas with you further.
